apogee one crashing when ios device plugged in

I've had the Apogee One for iPad & Mac since it first came out. About 5 years ago I started dealing with crashing issues (ie: I can't open the update section of the Mac app store or it crashes, mysterious crackling forcing a restart) that I mostly learned to live with or mitigate.

NOW I've got a new one and it is hard to get over: If I try and plug any ios device into my computer while the apogee is plugged in it crashes and I have to log out and log back in to get it running again.

I have tried different cables and different USB ports and they all yield the same result.

FYI, during my attempts at solving the previous crashing issues I found that Apogee tech support was totally useless so I'm not wasting my time with them.

Hardware: imac 2013, apogee one ipad and mac

SUCCESS! It turns out there was a conflict with "Android File Transfer" which I had as a login item. Once I turned that off the problem went away.

Thanks to dialabrain and den.thened for making me think and somehow figuring it out.

My Mac continually drops the USB connection to my iPad 5th generation. When I connect my 5th generation iPad to my Mac the connection is lost after several seconds, it vanishes from the Finder window and warning chimes sound. If I disconnect the cord then reconnect the same thing happens. What’s up?

iPad won't connect to MacBook air (keeps flickering in and out of charge) I need to connect my iPad to my Mac in order to install the new security software fix (my iPad doesn't have enough store to download the software unless, as it says, I connect it to the compute). But when I connect it to the Mac, it flickers in and out of charge every second or so -- beeping as it does so. The iPad charges normally with a wall socket, so it doesn't appear to be a dust or dirt problem with the iPad's charging port. And my USB sockets are working on my MacBook as I can plug in peripherals (e.g., external camera) and they work just fine. Moreover, I have gotten a message -- when, I guess, the Mac has managed to recognize that the iPad is, however briefly, connected to it -- that my iPad won't connect to the Mac because it needs new software. which I can get by connecting to the Mac. which I can't do. Any idea what I can do? Thank you!

Macbook 2015 c type strange problem Hello, I have a problem with my Macbook Early 2015 model. It has BigSur OS installed on it, and I don't know is it because of that, non of the devices I connect to my c type (which is the only one on it) is recognized on Mac. If I connect my iphone 11, it only charges it, if I connect type c usb hub (Satechi model) it only charges Mac, but can't recognize any of usb devices connected on usb port on same hub. All the cables I am using are original apple. Does anyone has any ideas what could be wrong here? Thanks Best regards
