As a certified Small Business Administration (SBA) provider, Horizon Bank continues to monitor how Covid-Relief will be administered, along with specifics on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
The PPP provides cash-flow assistance through 100% federally guaranteed loans to employers who maintain their payroll during this emergency. The PPP provides support for up to 24 weeks of payroll, and other eligible expenses such as utilities, interest payments, and lease payments. PPP loans have the potential for forgiveness by the Small Business Administration if compliance with the program criteria is met. Payments on PPP loans are deferred for a period of up to 10 months after the end of the borrower’s “covered period” provided a forgiveness determination has not been made by the Small Business Administration.
